Play On, Bravely
Solution

Kuras - Barry, NY 1991 could have ended in a problem-like forced mate in 6.

Follow the play on the Java Chessboard

To defend against 50.g4+ fg 51.fg+ Kh6 52.Qh8++,
Black must play 49...Qe3,
but White still wins:

50.Qxe3 Bxe3 51.e7 c2
52.e8(Q) c1(Q) 53.Qh8+ Bh6
54.g4+ Kg5 55.Qd8+ Kf4
56.Qd4+ Kg5 57.f4+ Qxf4
58.Qd8++.

The final position is almost a "pure" mating position -

remove the bishop on g2,
and every piece remaining on the board participates in the Black king's incarceration.
